RESIDENTS OF CHATHAM-KENT

A motion to approve a new Cemetery Business Plan for the cemeteries operated by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent was deferred at the February 2 2009 Council Meeting to allow more time for study.

The cemeteries that fall under the operation of this plan include:

Riverview (Wallaceburg)
Dresden
Bothwell
Maple Leaf & St. Anthony (Chatham)
Evergreen (Blenheim)
Greenwood (Ridgetown)

Do you think prices for lots, niches, opening/closing fees are too high?
Chatham-Kent Cemeteries were identified in this new report as being among the most expensive Municipally-operated cemeteries compared to other similar municipalities. Do you feel that you have an opinion on how the cemeteries are operated? Do you think that there are areas that Council should focus on for future service in the cemeteries that fall under the operation of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent?
